Rangeford Resources currently has entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement to own 3,000 acres in a highly prolific region in Kansas. The acreage is surrounded by oil production, and oil has been produced from numerous pay zones in the area. Some of the wells in the area have been in production for over 80 years, so oil production in the region is definitely long-term. The prospects are relatively shallow, low cost and low risk with excellent reserve potential.
Rangeford Resources plans to drill a minimum of 24 infield development wells in Kansas in 2014-2015. Infield drilling has many advantages, but the primary benefit is knowledge that oil already exists beneath the area where the new wells will be drilled. The new well locations currently being drilled are part of a comprehensive development plan for the prospect holdings in the area, with Rangeford Resources controlling the vast majority of the working interest.
Currently, Rangeford is working towards securing additional acreage via leasing and farmouts to expand its Kansas operations. The overall prospect acreage includes several hundred identified potential new commercial drilling locations, ranging from Pennsylvanian to Mississippian aged pay zones. The Kansas prospects provide Rangeford with a consistent development drilling program and excellent running room in a productive and proven area.
